Financial Strategies for the Work at Home Moms

One of the best gifts a woman can ever be in her lifetime is to become a mother. Children make life and the family as whole, happy. Much as you want to stay at home full time with your kids, it is a challenged by choice to give up your corporate work. That would mean a loss of income. But here’s some good news. The Internet will be your starting point. As a work at home mom, it will provide you many opportunities to earn extra income. It does not guarantee though that you will make you rich quickly, yet it will boost your savings and help in the increasing household bills. Here are great and practical ideas for you to begin with.

Freelance Writing. Many freelance writers benefit from online writing jobs. Choose the niche you want and write at your own pace. Turn your ideas into words and your words into dollars. This is great for moms with babies because this option allows you the time and job flexibility. Make sure that you work for a real website and that guarantees you payments for your work.

Transcription, Data Entry and Typing Jobs. You can get many jobs if you have an excellent typing skill. If you happen to be technically knowledgeable in line with medical and legal fields, you can use that knowledge to do transcription jobs. And for the data entry jobs, those require no technical knowledge.

Paid Surveys. Manufacturers and retailers usually send online questionnaires requiring (not mandatory) customers’ honest remarks about the products. The questionnaires include consumers’ likes, dislikes, preferences, even grievances before the launching of a new product. As a work at home mom, you can easily do this while you babysit your infant or play with your toddler.

Making money from your clutter. Do you have in your home some items you no longer use, items just laying around and yet are still in their best working condition? You can sell these items and make extra cash on sites like eBay, Craiglist and many more. You can also offer these items in your local community. Check for garage sales, house clearances, end of season sales and closing down shops.

Become a Virtual Assistant. With the recession happening in most countries, many small businesses cut back on staffs and employees even if they are fully aware that they need support that will keep their business running. As a solution, many of these owners hire online virtual assistants to work for them for a few hours each week.

Sell Your Pictures. If you have the knack in photography and you have a photo stock, it is time to earn money from those images. Every day, companies all over the world look for reasonably priced images for their websites and advertising materials. Take shots of virtually everything around you, from kids, animals, cars, sunsets, fruits, people etc. and sell them to websites like BigStockPhoto, ShutterStock and many more.

Become a Virtual / Online Tutor. You can be an online tutor even if you don’t have a teaching experience. If you have good command in the English language, in Math, and Science, you can make these a potential earner for you.

Create a Money-Generating Website. One great thing about the Internet is that you actually don’t need to sell anything just to make money. All you have to do is create a website, a simple one with great content. Your website can be anything about your interests like cooking, kids, support and others. Search on how to drive traffic back to your website. Your website will start earning through the ads displayed in your website and the affiliate marketing you linked your website to.

There are so many alternative options out there. You just have to be motivated, self confident and able to manage time well balancing family and your new found online work. You will be happy to earn your own money at the convenience of your home. The money is just gravy, the most important thing is that you are able to take care of your family and spend valuable time with your growing kids.

Wow, I didn’t know about the photography buying websites. I say that this article is helpful whether or not a person is a mom or not.

Hi Jhobell ;) Yes you can actually sell your images to photostock sites (there are so many of them in the internet). That is how the pros and the neophytes (in photography) earn extra income. These images are then sold to companies and businesses for their ads and marketing blitz.
