In order to get your product or website seen, article writing, blogs and blog posts, including blogs commenting and forum postings are all necessary evils in our internet world today. Anybody who creates a website will not be able to get any business without the very important web content which usually comes in the form of articles well written for their website, articles submitted and posted in article submission sites in turn to get greater back links, and blog posts or forum posts. These are all good news for the one, like you, who is about or just about to start with your writing career. In the same manner as there are hundreds of new writers every day, there will always be new websites in need of good written articles every day. It’s like driving a car, you’ll get better as you drive more often.
As mentioned above, don’t worry about your grammar and spelling at first. Your first article writing may not be perfect, yet you will ultimately develop your style as you go along and as you keep on writing. You write first, and then proof read your work later. As they say, perfection may be an admirable desire, yet seldom reasonable or possible.
Be cautious of the length of your articles. Writing for a magazine is never the same as writing for a web. Articles’ lengths for web are shorter. The reason being is that you need to capture the readers’ interest and get the information across as quickly as possible; otherwise you will lose them as they will click to the next one.
After preparing the first draft of your article, it is high time that you check and review your work before submitting. Before doing so, you may take a short break by taking a short nap; play with your pet animal, or anything that will take your thoughts away from your work. Allowing yourself to step away from your work will let you have a fresher outlook. You may now review, proof read and edit your work once you see any mistakes in it. What about the grammar? Read your article out loud to make sure that the flow is smooth. After you have made your corrections, you can run it through a spelling and grammar check program. Use MS Word to double check your work.
There you go you are now ready to submit your work. Remember to always keep on writing and sooner it would be effortless for you to write your next articles. Don’t worry, you’ll improve as days go by.
This is just the beginning of the many series of articles on embarking and equipping yourself in your chosen career in writing. Watch out for more!
