When doing ESL Tutorials, it is best to understand the rudiments of the trade to survive in this field of work. Unlike traditional teaching methods, ESL teaching has its own methods and strategies. As a teacher of ESL must, you must remember that you are not only teaching the rules, functions, and structures of the English language, but you are also trying to attract the learners to another culture. As the acronyms would spell out, ESL is English as a Second Language, therefore every learner who learns ESL is not only trying to learn English, but is also trying to adopt it as their second language and hopefully they would be accepted as a part of the English speaking community. When a person learns English, they are only trying to focus on its uses and may have no plans of furthering it; whereas when a person opts for ESL tutorials, this often results in a person migrating to or working in an English speaking country.
As a teacher, when you start to have ESL tutorials or classes, you must remember that the student is not having those classes because they just want to learn English, but it is because they want to improve their use of English for them to be accepted in English speaking countries. For some students, having ESL classes can boost their confidence. They take these classes so that they will be motivated and they could raise their self-esteem. They can also share the English knowledge to their families. The challenge for us, the teachers is on how to harness this interest so that the student would not lose interest in studying ESL. You should have to use different approaches according to the needs of the student. Unlike traditional classroom teaching, adaptation to the situation should be part of the ESL teacher’s arsenal. You should also be able to adjust the level of your teachings according to your student and be able to disperse their methods so that every student would receive the necessary skills needed to succeed in making English their second language.
To have a successful career as an ESL Tutor, always know your limitations and you should continually improve yourself, not only with your methods but also with the current trends in order for you to prepare your students properly. To get your students updated on the current trends would mean that the student would not be at a loss if ever they decide to join the English speaking community. Being outdated is never a good excuse especially if you have first time ESL learners. If a person decides to have ESL lessons, it means that their interest had been stoked by what they currently see or hear from the English community. You must also be an updated English Teacher to compete; with the growing number of virtual assistant sites offering ESL tutorials, you must be able to be at par with these sites.
So, whatever reasons you may have for becoming an ESL teacher, it is good to understand how you would be able to survive in the world of ESL tutorials. With all its challenges and excitement, it is better to come prepared at a times.

This design is slelter! You certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost HaHa!) Wonderful job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
Cheers, I just stopped in to visit your site and thought I’d say thanks for having me.
